Thanks for the gouge. I've had some awful luck on the officer side of the house, and am lining up my shot to come over to y'all as an enlisted guy instead.

QPs, ever heard of someone doing this? I've already been through SFAS, but more than 3 years will have elapsed once I get to Bragg. I reckon I'll have to take selection again...this time, with no safety net.

You can however enlist in the NG, possibly even into one of the NG SF companies, then after you are ready, attend SFAS and start the SFQC shortly thereafter. There are plenty of threads here addressing the prior-service to NG SF process.

Let us know if you have any remaining questions.

There is a MEDEVAC NG unit in Phoenix. I would guess that would be a pretty easy way with your skill set to get your foot in the door guard side.

Are you referring to my getting my foot in the door with the NG?

I would hope that with having been on an ODA in the NG for 4-1/2 years I would have more than my foot in the door.

It seems you have no door left to go through - broken at the hinges perhaps.

I was referring to the OP's possibility of going guard to get to SFAS.

Read the "Special Forces Questions" sticky at the top of this thread.

Do you have some SF experience we are unaware of?
