I'll start. I'm going with New England only because I think Belichick is the best game planner out there. I think it's a great match-up and it could go either way.
Patriots: They have to stop the run. Forget pressuring Delhomme. If they can stop the run, they'll win.
Panthers: They have to get pressure on Brady. New England doesn't have much of a running game, and I think Brady is the key to that whole offense. If they can keep him off the field and under pressure, they can keep the score manageable and pull off the win.
I don't really like or dislike either team, but I'm looking forward to the game.

Go Panthers! By 3. Tough game for first half. Panthers will push ahead and then let the Pats tie. Overtime field goal by Panthers.
For exactly the reasons stated above.

It's really too close to call, but I'll say Panthers. I see this as being a game dominated by defense. The Pats can be an explosive passing team, but the Carolina defense should force a turnover or two and put more pressure on Brady than he has felt thusfar in the playoffs. The Panthers have a balanced offense, they can get it done with the run or the pass, so I see them being able to score some on the Pats. That's the thing, if the Panthers can shut the Pats passing game down, then they're onto something. I think the Pat's will have to cheat with their DBs to shut down the Carolina run, which will leave opportunities for Delhomme. The edge goes to Carolina because they're the underdog, and should be feeling less pressure from a close game (which I think this is gonna be). A squeaker in the fourth quarter could give the Pats some butterflies, since they've been favored by about a touchdown since the line opened.
My pick:
Carolina 20, New England 17

Here is the link to SOWF. I thought I would go ahead and help you out a bit with it.

By 10!?
Boy are you getting cocky, LOL, giving me 3 more points two nights before the game!
But I'm not complaining - no problem: I'll take Carolina and the ten points.

New England 17 Carolina 3
Smith re-injures his quad, is forced to leave. Deshaun Foster fumbles 3 times. Brady passes for 237 yards 1 TD 1 int. A. Smith gets 65 yds rushing 1 TD. Ty Law picks off Jake Delhomme in the end zone preventing Carolina from scoring even one touchdown.
Jake Delhomme goes 139 yards 0 TD 2 INT
Belicheck will challenege some play but it will stand. The halftime show will be horrible. Most of the commercials will suck.
Brady and Law are named CO-MVP's.
I like this outcome.

Awww, now that is not very nice. LOL
Let's just say I am being dangerously/wildly optimistic.
I will further predict that the Patriots win the coin toss. The Panthers will kick the first field goal. Patriots will be up 10-3 by the half. And for all of you playing the proposition lines in Vegas, the last points scored will be via touchdown. Brady to Deion Branch down the sideline.
Who put that champagne in my orange juice? Mimosa's for everybody.

If I may be so bold
Pats - 24
Panthers - 3
The agony of game 7 will be erased for good

I hope you're wrong. I need 4 and 7.
I took your bet for SOWF and extended it to the pool at work.
I have 4 on the pats and 7 on the cats. Payouts based
on the score at the end of each quarter. The number represents
the last digit of the score. I decided that anything I win goes
to SOWF - so change that score

Hey nice work man !
I'm glad at least a few people jumped in on that one
I almost felt like it was a bad idea
For those that don't know over on SOCNET I talked a lot of trash about the Pats and someone asked me to make a bet on the game. I said sure BUT the loser has to make a donation to SOWF in the name of the winner.

You can tell it's a girl. A dude would've just said, "I got in on squares at work. I've got NE 4 and Panthers 7."
