Infantry vs. Paralegal Specialist

I am re-enlisting in the US Army under prior service. Most P/S soldiers are getting 11B as their MOS, but both my street recruiter and an SF Recruiter tell me that my old MOS of 27D (Paralegal Specialist) could be available.

I am too old to directly enter the pipeline with an 18X contract. So my question to the QP's would be: Should I seek out the 11B MOS in order to make myself a better SFAS student? The positives in taking this route would be, my soldiering skills (CTT training, marksmanship, etc.) will be stronger and I will have a harder edge in PT. The negative would be, upon completion of Warrior Transition Course, the additional 9 weeks spent in training after being inserted in either Blue or White phase of Infantry OSUT and delaying the submission of my SFAS packet. (Note: the SF Recruiter I spoke with told me if my old MOS was unavailable, take the shortest AIT available and get an assignment at Fort Bragg and submit my packet ASAP)

If I put this thread in the worng category, I apologize. Your thoughts are, as always, greatly appreciated.
