Small "Tactical Trout" (by Bill Harsey) has another sheath
I promised to Bill a review and studio pictures. That will come. But before a full review I need to carry & use my Tactical Trouts in the field. Today I took the small one for a little ride... not in belt leather sheath by Bill (which is great BTW) but in my new kydex sheath, which I carry on left shoulder strap of my Eagle E&E pack. That knife must have been created for such carry, it fits here PERFECTLY.
Bill, once again - thank you brother!

Nice Pics !
Hey brother,
Thanks for posting all the great pics of Bill creations. We can always count on you to help us get a great first look at his knives!
If Bill makes a knife its going to be great. With that said, I have tried the whole knife photography thing and I normally make the knives look like something painted on a cave wall...LOL
Keep it up we all love the pics!

I got a chance to see the Tactical Trout at the Blade Show. Very welldone and another outstanding creation. Kudos to Bill for the continued quality and innovation.
Cheers,
D.

I received a limited production run version of the Tactical Trout in CPM S30-V for my birthday over the weekend... The manufacturer of Mr Harsey's design ran a couple of hundred with Walnut handles and the leather sheath... My seriously deranged HH6 consipred with an Oregon Logger to scribble on the blade - the inscription states:
William W. Harsey 2009
On the eighth day God created Beer and All was well.
Knifemakers arrived the following day
I learned later that evening that an overeducated redneck machinist was also party to this creul act of gift giving. It is a great gift to have all 3 of these people in my life.
pics will follow later.

Happy Birthday Paul!
Also, I had a chance to inspect that new knife of yours the other night and thought it was a beautiful piece of work! I'm envious!!

Here's what the "Portland Knife Company" did with the design... the scratches were made by the designer himself. A large portion of the profits of this knife (bought from signed knife) went to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.

It's a nice one. But... it's almost like a different knife.
