Georg Scott B-2-10 SFGA ODA226

Guys,
I just got the bad news from Larry Hobbs:

Craig, a voice from the past-Larry Hobbs (ODA 226). It's certainly
been awhile since we've seen one another. I just searched around to
contact you with the bad news that Scotty died yesterday from brain cancer.
His wife Wendy asked that I try to contact some of his old teammates. Do
you have any contact info for anyone else from those team days?
Lothar Williams, Steve Davidson, Manuel Diemer, Paul Smith, Tom
Sosinski, Franz Shoaf, Ken McCauley, P.O. Brown, Gary Gibson, et al?
Wendy will pass me funeral info soon. I'll send it to you if you like
[he's in southern Pa.].
I hope all is well with you!
LH

Georg was a great guy and a great teammate. He will be missed. I will update funeral information as soon as Larry sends it to me. If any of you are in contact with those listed above, please PM me with their contact info.

Jack, I've already contacted Smitty.

Craig

That is our policy.” You ask; What is our aim? I can answer with one word: Victory—victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival.-Winston Churchill

Dear All,
I just got this from Wendy:

I have had a day in my life today like none other.

Georg had a very hard 13 hour struggle, his body was still pumping "Special Forces" but his brain was where the illness was. The last breath brought with it a hemorrhage in his brain. But Georg had not been "there" for quite a while so I know that only his outer shell was fighting but the true Georg was not in pain as he was not responsive...it was we who were by his bedside that endured the pain.

I now have this distinct picture of Georg in a heavenly skid loader plowing up something in heaven with Jesus telling him new incredible engineering designs....no more pain, no more tears...the way it should be, the way he knew and believed it would be.

The situation could have been so very worse. The cancer that he had could have wrecked his body with pain, had immense vomiting etc...none of that. Through these last 18 months I have had the chance to know and watch someone with a deeper relationship that crossed over earthly despair. Even when confined to a chair then the bed, the loss of his arms and ability ot swallow Georg still joked, still prayed, still kissed me and told me he loved me and how blessed he was to be so cared for and how God had never left his side. His mother and I commented today that he really did not complain for he knew it was just for a "moment". I don't think I could have been more humbled.

Georg's viewing will be Monday March 10 at 6pm located at Grove Bowersox Funeral Home in Waynesboro. The Memorial Service will be on March 15th at 3pm at Salem Church located outside of Waynesboro.

A special website has been set up for messages it is GeorgRScott@gmail.com

A copy of his obituary http://obit.bowersoxfuneralhomes.com...isting=Current

Pass this on to all who are not on this email list that knew Georg, I hope that many of you can come celebrate the life Georg had...a life well lived.

Blessings,

Wendy
