I'm about to retire and am a small business owner. Soon I'll be entering into a business deal to license my product for one of the associations.

The fella I was talking to said "Shit, we can get you on Shawn Ryan!"

I said I'd rather not.

Pete (RIP) offered a perspective over twenty years ago that I bear in mind when watching SOF influencers' podcasts.

Quote:
I have found that when sitting in a relaxed place, GB Club comes to mind, with friends the water was always a little deeper, the wind a little colder and the night a little darker. The DZ was shorter, the trees taller and the wind was blowing harder. The stories were a little better than real life.

With that said, in anything we do, there were other people there also. You can puff a little bit and nobody will call you down on it.

But there comes a line that some cross and the others then say "I really don't remember it that way." "That's not the way it was."

When a story has a whole bunch on this side and one or two on that side and they were all there, well then......

Pete

Known to stretch a fact or two while downing a brew, but only with friends who stretch back a little their own darn self.

Those of us who have not been there / not done that can find legitimacy for our POVs in what you guys say on line.

Any inconsistency can be ignored. Just snip the part you want and post it on social media. Likes and shares absolve us from the responsibility of doing due diligence on our opinions.

We've gone from being children of the Enlightenment to drones for data companies.

On the upside, damn, what a time to be alive! The reels on Meta of cats and dogs playing together are precious.

And the birbs! Tell me that birds aren't dinosaurs!

Deep Thought was the computer in the hitchhikers guild.
I have been thinking about how AI is going to fuck us lately.
How will the OSS simple sabotage manual come into play when we need it.

All AI needs electrical power

Weak minds and electrical power.
