My deployed wife had some "work" done to her truck an it was just completed. Now it needs a 500 mile break in on her new suspension. Guess I'll have to suffer through and drive it around for her.

Heard the unforgetable sound of the turboprops this afternoon and went outside to watch a C-130 approaching Mather at near drop altitude - and the memories flooded in.

Nice sir. Like a Huey, nothin' sounds like it. This time of year we get 3-ships of 130's over the house back & forth the nearby base DZ's or coming off shooting the NDB approach.

Had to contrast this year's photo-op of the POTUS with #1 grand-daughter (jeans/gray shirt) at a 4H flurry shoot. She's already on & about to bust the bird missed by the jogger-lookin' gal. She's a pretty quick study, overall genuinely fine kid, and could wax the POTUS on both the range and an oral argument where neither had a teleprompter.

Daughter's Graduation

Today I saw my daughter get her college diploma. She is 34 y/o, married with 3 children and working a part time job. Her mother and I, her husband and children are very proud of her. (Apparently she was listening to me when I was trying to instill that SF "Never Give Up" attitude.)

My wife gave birth (naturally) to our handsome 7 lb 6 oz 19 1/2 inch long baby boy this past Wednesday the 15th! She was in labor for only 5 hours after her water broke as well ! We're home now, and I got 'em both sleeping while I set up some of his high speed baby gear. I must say, looking at them both is the happiest thought I've had in a long time!

Son #1 with my first wife was over a decade ago, and I forgot exactly how much sleep you do NOT get while in the hospital

Hehehehe .... "sleep in the hospital" ..... hehehehe
I'm sure you've forgotten how much sleep you're NOT going to get while he's at home.
