Kelly nows says he only bought the AR to "show how easy it was to buy".
IN HIS OWN WORDS: "I just had a background check a few days ago when I went to my local gun store to buy a 45," Kelly wrote. "As I was leaving, I noticed a used AR-15. Bought that too." Kelly added, "Even to buy an assault weapon, the background check only takes a matter of minutes ... We really need to close the gun show and private seller loop hole."
Hmmm...Mr Kelly, you didn't try to buy your AR at a gun show or from a private seller, did you? Furthermore, according to the gun shop owner, you never completed the background check and still have the 20-day wait, so it appears the existing laws are working.
Again, what exactly did you prove Mark Kelly?

He proved exactly what he set out to. That non-criminals have no trouble buying these guns, and that is exactly who Mr. Kelly and those like him don't want to have them.

Are you implying that he does want criminals to have them?

I'm stating that he doesn't want law abiding citizens to have them. That the proposals he lays out and supports will take guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens. His proposals will not take them out of the hands of criminals, who knowingly break the law everyday.
I'm implying that he is an asshole, who got caught buying the very gun he is trying to ban.

Why "imply" it?? Just come out and state that I think he is a statist assclown who is a hypocritical POS.
I gave him a pass as his wife got blasted, but when he goes out and BUYS the very things he is railing against.......phuck him. He's just another typical liberal who is comfortable pushing laws for the great unwashed so long as THEY get their way.
He is an enemy of free men. Just say it.

Agree....which takes me back to Billy L-bach's excellent post on the "Vets rapidly losing 2A rights" thread.
I have a bit of sympathy for Giffords/Kelly based on what she had to endure, and I appreciate his navy service. But otherwise he seems intent on painting himself as a clown.

Back to Feinstein....

When did this come out? Last I heard it was definitive that the AR was used. According to CT State Police it was recovered inside the school.

Well, maybe it's not definitive then. I thought after my extensive reading they'd said whether it was in the trunk of the car or out of it, that it had not been fired.
Honestly, it's ridiculous that this long after the incident that the average American citizen does not have clear facts. I may be totally wrong.

If the founders were privy to today's technology, culture, etc.., they would have likely included memes in the constitution, to limit interpretation of their intent. For instance the 2nd amendment would include a LOLCat meme with the caption "I can haz bazooka" at the bottom.

If Feinstein thinks that Veterans that have PTSD will become unstable and "terrorize" some target rich soft target and so should be declaired unfit to have weapons, I suggest that she has PTSD from seeing all the bodies that the extreme high power rounds from high capacity magazines and that she be declared unfit to hold office. As for the others that follow her "factual", "logical", "realistic", and "common sense" legislation be declared mentally unstable and incompetent and unfit to hold office.

Make that Premature PTSD as she had the bills ready to go before the shooting began. Or maybe she was staring at goats...

I was referring back to when the mayor of San Fran was shot and she ran out and got the only concealed carry permit in SF, and I thought it was common knowledge that she did stare at goats ...
