My democrat-all-for-women's-right-movement fierce female co-workers are asking me for help on pistol selection and training. One is even asking me to build her an AK
Fayetteville can do that to you...

See, I knew the President could eventually bring us all together!

It was a balmy 6° this morning at my truck (which doubles as my locker room).
Definitely better than the 10° below zero driven through a dozen miles west of town.
Was delivering in shorts and a short sleeve shirt by the afternoon.
The sun heats things quickly on the Colorado Plateau.

Deliver rattlesnakes, do ya?
I'm hoping to get up your way next Spring.

Page...in the spring?!?
The weather is windy, unpredictable, and can get quite awful between the spring equinox and the summer solstice.
The best time in this area is during August and September.

Not Page per se. The North Rim, passing through your area.

Highway 67 usually doesn't open until May 15 (the UPS driver has a gate key ).
Beautiful in June.
Used to cover vacations for the North Rim driver.
I've had buffalo come right up to my truck door.

Yep, I know (Not about the UPS driver, though. Good info. ). We do Kiabab NF. We have a Casita travel trailer that we drag to the rim. I've never seen buffs up there though.

The local driver knows all the best places.
He takes his trailer up there and starts/finishes the route from his camp site sometimes.
He has a "domicile" route like mine (not based at a hub).
I've taken my motor home up there before when covering the route (get some strange looks when a UPS truck drives out of the forest in the morning).
The buffalo usually hang out near the park boundary.
They're not indigenous, a domestic herd (~25) got loose from a ranch down near House Rock a few decades back.
IIRC they now number over 300.
<edited to add>
There are varying accounts of how the North Rim buffalo herd reached its current status.
This is what I was told.
