Hi,
I'm J. 22 years old. I live in Dallas, TX. I've been in the Army Reserve for 5 years. I like the military, but would prefer to serve it in a much different aspect than my current role. I'm a Biomedical Technician at a large hospital and I'm into electronics and think being a Green Beret would be the perfect way to put my skills to use. I'm discliplined, and understand that no amount of information read on a computer will prepare me for selection, or the real world as an operator, but none the less I'd like to see what I can find out beforehand. I look forward to seeing what information I can pick up on and those of you who have the tag "Quiet Professional", thanks for your knowledge.

Morning all,
Been reading this site since 07.
AD Navy O out of VA Beach. Been a fan of keeping my mouth shut and reading the Briefbacks, Area Studies, and the ever funny gems within "Your Rucksack is in the Hall." Made an account to PM a member in NC down the line.
Planning on transitioning/enlisting to NC ARNG post my Navy career in a year or so.

Belated Introduction
It appears that I never introduced myself when I joined the forum a few years back, so I'm correcting that.
I'm a (soon to be retired) Squid, living in northern Alabama and working in my civilian job as an analyst. I have worked with several Quiet Professionals throughout my career and have always enjoyed it. I appreciate the hard work that's gone into making this forum a source of useful information.

Greetings
I'm an Army Pilot in an Assault BN stationed here at Fort Bragg. Was interested in the SF route for several years. Chose to take another path. Wouldn't trade it for the world.
I'm here to read and learn.

I'm 17 years old. Planning on doing Army ROTC in college next year. I am determined to be in SF. I am here to learn what I can from the very valuable resources on this site and most likely not post anything unless I am absolutely qualified to do so (even if as a teenager I'm supposed to know everything).

Much respect
I've been in the Army now for 13 years and had the privilege to serve with and for some great guys in 5th and 10th groups when I deployed in '03 to Iraq. I learned a lot and they definitely made the deployment bearable. I have a great deal of respect for everyone in that community. I currently work full time in the Natl Guard and still love the Army. Thanks for all you guys do and for what you've done that we don't hear about.
-D.

Hello, my name is JB and I am new to this forum. I am a former 5th Group CBRN specialist who is headed back to USASOC after a tour of duty with a conventional chemical unit. My next PCS will be to 7th Group at Eglin AFB, and I have registered here with the intent to learn what I can about life in 7th Group, including any information on the new state-of-the-art facilities at the 7th SFG(A) cantonment area. I would also be happy to provide the other members with information concerning my area of expertise, should the opportunity arise. I am looking forward to being a part of what I am sure is an outstanding professional community.

Hello. I'm 35 years old now and signed up for an 18X contract back in 02. It was a life changing experience. I voluntarily dropped out after three consecutive attempts in SOPC. Guess they would say I was built cheap. I worked in an office, traveled around the Balkans and studied overseas afterwards. I'm not doing much worth mentioning these days. I met some truly amazing people there and have a great respect for these men.

Gentleman,
I am an 11B currently deployed in trashganistan. I stumbled upon this site after reading NosDefians quote in a few places on the internet, and traced it back to here (with the help of "Jinx" from GW).
I will be attending Sniper and Ranger post redeployment, and I am ultimately interested in getting selected. I appreciate any and all information that this forum provides.

Hey guys,
My name is Andy Chase I am a Navy FMF Corpsman serving with V38 out of Camp Lejeuen NC. I have been in the Navy going on 7 years, 5.5 of those years with the Marine Corps. Through out my short time in the Navy/Marines, I have had a lot of amazing opportunities, some of the best, were times I got to work and train with some great 18D's. Professionaly speaking there is no one better than a Delta. After hanging out with these guys it sealed the deal. I want the job, and I want the SF brotherhood. Theres a special bond between a Marine and his Corpsman, but it was an entirely different level hanging out with these guys. So, my goal is to finish up this last few years with the Navy, and then go out for SF. Its time to something better with my life than get yelled at because "Doc's hair is too long!"
I look forward to soaking up all the knowledge you gents have to offer.
Cheers

Hello everyone.
I'm 26 years old and in the process of enlisting for an 18x contract. I have an uncle who was in SF for almost 30 years. I never spoke to him about it until I decided to enlist. Between what he's told me and reading through all of the posts here I know I'll be in for a demanding time in SFAS, to say the least. To say I have respect for the Quiet Professionals here would be a vast understatement. I am training myself as a full time job until I ship out and teaching myself map reading plus other valuable skills to be as prepared as possible. I should be down at MEPS in the next few weeks to receive a departure date for OSUT. Until then I'll continue to read, train, and prepare. To me, failure is not an option and I will keep my 25 meter targets in focus. Thank you for this great forum.
