During my last deployment I bought one of DJ Urbanovsky's titanium sporks they have a nasty pointed end and I actually kept it on my kit everywhere I went and was determined to be the first person to kill a man with a SPORK!! DIdnt get that chance unfortunately I am quite sure though that if you are a terrorist and are killed with a spork you are DQ'd from getting any virgins and you are just called a pussy and reincarnated as pig that is butchered and sent to Taco Bell and then eaten with a spork and the cycle continues.... Possibly the same thing will happen if you spend 750 on that Yarborough knock off.

Titanium spork? I got one of those to "be cool & light". Took it to the woods one time - now it sits at home all lonely.
Out in the woods there is nothing really I need a fork for - and anything I need a spoon for the juice dribbles out.
So I'm back to an MRE spoon stuck in my shirt pocket.

Not since they started issuing take-down bows, push daggers and headscarves, no.

North Tay Ninh Prov, RVN, 1970.. while sitting down for a brake, a large constructor type Mr No-Shoulders attempted to penetrate our defense, I executed a compact left roll PLF, whipped out me trusty Peinilla de la Pendejo (machete), severing the offending head,, resulting was fresh meat for supper..
Does that count???

Which goes with my statement that you don't play pokey pokey stabby stabby with guys that have guns, or fangs.
Imagine you are sitting out in the jungle at night, a little "scared", and out of the corner of your eye you sinse movement. Can cause an attitude that someone may not be prepared for.
Shoot them with suppressed pistol, or whack their head off.

I am still trying to visualize you sporking somebody.
can't quite wrap my mind about how that one would or wouldn't turn out.
maybe a cage match over canned peaches?

Cigarettes were trading material - take my 3 cigs ration and I'll gladly take your John Wayne cookies, Kern's peanut butter and crackers, pound cake, peaches, pears, apple sauce, etc.

So true! After the 4th or 5th day in the field, the fact that I didn't smoke - coupled with the fact that I actually liked "Ham and Claymores" - guaranteed that I'd eat like a king.

In light of the comedy....
Should this be moved to the Comedy Zone? I meant to start a thread based on my skepticism, but wanted real world experience (QP's opinions for example) in case I was off base.
If I never get in a "Knife Fight", I will consider myself a winner .
BTW, TS........school is over! When do you want to tear up the desert?, I'll bring plenty of silenced pistols and maybe one knife. You can teach me senrty removal techniques.....as long as it doesn't violate OPSEC
Thanks again for the replies.
Mike
