Talking

After months of delay (but I'm not bitter), The Society for Military History (SMH) and EBSCO Publishing have finally launched their joint venture making every issue of the Journal of Military History available on-line to SMH members.

ETA: Unfortunately, there's an issue with the website's PDF reader. Fortunately, EBSCO has a different approach to customer service and technical support than do other companies (like SPRINT) that shall remain nameless.

I live in a beautiful place. We are in our 'dry' season. Cloudless, sunny, no humidity days in the 70s. The postcards sometime do tell the truth!
AM

ps... all photo are within 6 blocks of my housek, tampabay side.

I'm going diving this weekend, even if it is only in a local lake.

I hate you.
Study materials? Turn in your Green Flash, you need a nice cool beverage to go along with the book.

My Happy thought.... OKC Spring Show this weekend, Friday off, beer and knives and seared animal flesh....

I have a cool beverage now...note that there is a 250' elevation difference between the photo on the left and the photo on the rights...I can't lowcrawl up hills like I used to so I keep the beverages at home...and you can come visit, if you wish...if you get a pass from HH6...

The ride was great, although I had to solo today (I was reminded that some people have to work for a living)...and the sun was on my back and the wind was in my hair...that's the nice thing about no helmet law...although it requires I keep a hair brush in the saddlebags for the GF...

Darn - I was thinking horses. Not nearly the same thing; though the bikes are a bit less PITA/responsibility.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

I may be getting reacquainted with my equine friends here sooner than later, if I catch this gig with the Forest Circus.....

Tax season is effectively over, and my 7 year old son made contact at baseball practice tonight. Yep, been a good day.

Tax forms are bagged and tagged, checks for 1st Qtr estimated taxes are written and everythings ready for the trip to the PO box in the Morning.

Additions to deductions I didn't take/find/notice until after the froms printed come to $216 and is so noted on my file copy.

My audit defense - never lie or fudge anything on the tax form and have the paperwork to back up all deductions.
