Memorial Service Information

The memorial Service for LTC (Ret) David Wilk will be held January 14,2010 at
1330 hrs.

The service will be held at the St. Dominic Catholic Church (formerly the
Holy Family Church) 331 main St in Security.

Following the service there will be a celebration of life at The VFW Post
3917 located right off of N. Main/Hancock in Security.

Those flying in, we have made arrangements at the Radisson Hotel Colorado
Springs Airport
1645 North New Port Road. 719-597-7000 and tell them you will be attending
the Wilk Funeral. They provide shuttle service. The phone is by the baggage
claim. Also here is the brevity code for your flight Dove-Witt Ref #4286.

Dress will be dark suites for all us old farts and Class A's or duty uniform
for active duty guys (please) it would look great in the crowd if we had some
uniforms. 4/24 SFA guys please wear black pants white shirt and blazer Don
the Pres can add if needed.

We will have a Motorcycle precession from Dove-Witt to the Church, all riders
are welcome.

Dave requested that he would rather have a donation made to the 4/24 SFA or
to the Pikes Peak Cancer Center instead of flowers.

There will be some catered food at the VFW, but if you have bought one of SFA Chapter 4/24 cookbooks there are a lot of good ideas for finger food that you could bring to be placed in the bar. Not required but appreciated.

You ask; What is our policy? I will say; “It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us: to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy.” You ask; What is our aim? I can answer with one word: Victory—victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival.-Winston Churchill
