I worked with JT in the course. He was a fantastic leader; he lead by example and set high standards. He was fair but accepted no excuses for anything. I would have followed him anywhere. All of us that knew him, not only view this a huge loss to the Regiment, but society as a whole. I sincerely wish we had more people like JT.

I won't mourn his death, but celebrate his life, and focus on what a great influence he was to the people around him. I think that's how he would have wanted it anyway.

Captain Tinsley was my team leader during language school. He was an excellent officer and a good man. In June, I saw him across the parking lot at Banks Hall but by the time I made my way over to him to say hello, he was gone.

I would have followed him anywhere.
