Being that I work for a place where people buy said ten round .40 mags for use in a 9mm and then return them because they do not always function properly, I highly recommend extensive firing of any magazine being used in such a way. If I am going to be carrying a weapon that my life may depend on, I do not want anything "Southern Engineered" on that weapon. Only the best magazines and parts that money can buy that are made specifically for that particular weapon.

It's a neat trick, But I would reserve it's use to the gun range and be sure that the magazines are marked so as not to be confused with carry mags.
