Rest Well Sir
Thank you for your service. It is men like "Big Teddy" that allow the rest of us to enjoy our lives free from the fears of oppression. Free from worries about who or what is knocking on our door.
I really wish I could have known him better. I know he would have taught me and taught me very well.

It has been an honor and a pleasure, Sir.

Having not been able to visit the site for awhile I was saddened to hear the news of Big Teddy. Amazing how you can become attached to someone without having met in person.
In our pm's about VA bills and such he was always concerned about his wife as well as many of his posts- truly a decent man. You could see his passion for the boards, his brotherhood, his faith and most importantly to him his family.
Condolences to his entire family and especially Maggie~ may his memory serve as a cherished reminder of much that is good in this world.
RIP Big Teddy- you will be missed and remembered.

Despite his frustration and anxiety about going forward he bravely made the decision to proceed with surgery despite the known and unknown risks.
I will assume he died like he must have lived......soldier strong, proud and damn glad to have enjoyed the day.
Olav hashalom...may he rest in peace

"What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal."
I thought this quote applies well to "Big Teddy", as many here will remember much of him.
RIP.
