Yippee!
New update:
18E Selectee Here!
Currently at SOPC II starting our 2nd week.
Is it possible/ what are the odds I can change to a Charlie (or Bravo) when I get to Student Co.? I think EVERYBODY in our (SOPC) class got what they wanted except me and maybe a few others. My squads' TAC said I could change it once I get to Student Company. True?

What greater pleasure could there be other than making comms where and when comms are not supposed to be makeable?

Allegedly walking onto Class 003 (11Jan05), and not attending SOPC; per "higher." SFAS IA request denied d/t class size bursting at the seams. SFAS IB reservation still in ATRRS. Wahooo!
Still an 18-D wanna-be

Are you an SF Candidate or not?

Not an SF candidate yet. I'm scheduled to attend SFAS. I'll believe It when I have the orders in my hands.
There apparently was a black hole in the computer system. Allegedly I am still on track to attend SFAS in January, without having to attend SOPC I. I apologize if my previous post was not clear.

I'm physically in NY. I transferred to 20th SFG (Massachusetts) ~June 04. I'm waiting to head South to Ft. Bragg for SFAS and beyond.
I'll give you more Hx if you are interested. I've been a "lurker" on this site and am reluctant to hijak this thread.

My bad Achilles, slipped my mind. It looks like we will be at OSUT together then. Get back to me on e-mail so I will know how to find you.How many buddies? All of you 18X. I heard they will put all the 18x in one platoon, do you have any more information on that.
Question for everyone else, How long do you stay in the Reception Battalion?
Can you keep up your running in Reception, I hear they will not let you run. It only takes a week or so for me to get out of shape.
