Hi folks. Made a little introduction somewhere else, but I think it got buried in one of the threads. As one of my favorite aspects of this site is the fact that you know who you're talking to, and know that they know what they're talking about, I thought it only right to let you all know a bit about me.

My name's Dan, spent four years as an 11B in Korea and Campbell. Got out to pursue my degree in history at University of California, Santa Barbara, where I live currently. Can't wait to get back in, though.

So there you go. Any questions, shoot me a PM. Love this place because, unlike so many places on the net, it's a serious place for serious discussions with serious, knowledgeable folks. It's nice to de-lurk.

Welcome Dan.

Glad you like the place. As the Reaper would say, "the beer is in the fridge."

Hell, I wish I lived in Ventura. Rent there is about 1/3 of what it is here. Damn rich hippies in this town.

--Dan, wishes GI Bill had a COLA adjustment

Shucks Dan, if you're language qualified you can go a little further down the highway to Oxnard. Do you know what the rate of exchange is for Pesos?

Hello everybody, I have been lurking for awhile, both here and on SOCNET, and figured I should introduce myself. My name is Steve I have a few more years of school to do before I can enlist in the infantry for several years, after that I plan to try for Special Forces. And I would like thank you all for serving your country and all the information you provide in these forums.

Back to lurk mode.

Steve,

No need to lurk 24/7.

You've set your sights high, good luck.

I will post if ever I feel I might add to the conversation, but seeing as how I have no real experience and I believe I learn better with my mouth closed, that might not be very often Sir.
Thank You Sir.
