Amato, just missed getting you that SL Drop Leg Holster. Someone on 8-10 Forums was selling two NIB. One was for a Tac Light the other slick. Ready.............. $50 Shipped. I'm still searching.
Check out what I just took off of Haji on LF.

Keith, I picked one of those holsters up, I was to late for the one with light, but I got the other 6280
I also ordered an OD 6004 for a Springfield w/M3 straight from Safariland for $66 plus $8 for shipping.
I saw what you got off him, nice snatch. I would put one on my M4 but I wouldn't be able to get it in my case. To get it to fit, I have to collapse the stock all the way.
82ndtrooper, those Strider Gunner grips are made by Simonich, same type I am getting.

The Ruger is for SASS. opps i should have been more specific. I added the satin nickle finish to it. I have a Vaquero in 44 Mag that I have used, 5.5 grain of green dot or black powder.
I have also used the New Model #3 for SASS, it is a 44 Russian.

These are the two Weapons that I am issued at work. IMO, If you are issued a Weapon then IMO, it belongs to you.
Colt M4A1, KAC Rail, Aim point, KAC BUIS, SOPMOD Stock, Pentagon MD3 Light, Tango Down Rail covers and Grips (belong to me) I have a couple of Pentagon lights. They feel and look just as durable as Sure Fire. They cost less. Has anyone seen or heard of any side by side testing?
The Glock 17, well............................every time you pull the trigger it go's BANG

I have been searching the site for Pentagon lights and found limited information (over rated lumens performance). AAFES sells the PentagonLights now and I purchased the MD3R, but had to replace the pad switch to momentary/continuous on switch for my application.
I too would like to know of any side by side with the Sure Fire. The Pentagon seems to be well built, but I have not had a chance to use it much.
BTW, the AAFES price seems to be competitive.

Just my opinion, but the Pentagon lights are cheaper knock-offs of the SureFires.
The quality appears to be a bit lower and the QC somewhat worse.
I might consider using their gear on an airsoft gun, but I would not use it on a real weapon I planned to use on a two-way range. In fact, they claim to be US manufactured, but some of their components look suspiciously like the Chinese knock-offs.
Again, that is just my opinion based on seeing the SureFire manufacturing process and using a lot of them, versus the brief experience looking over the Pentagon marketing material and closely examining/handling a few of their lights.
As several tac lighting boards mention, you get what you pay for. Machined bar stock costs more than tubing. Cut knurling takes more machine time than rolled on. Gold plated switch contacts cost more than cheap non-plated ones. And all of that adds up in the reliability department. When one product costs three times what the other does, there is probably some difference in the manufacturing process. What is your life or your kids' life worth to you if it fails?
Just my .02, YMMV.

I'm with Reaper, I had a pentagon, had to send it back (batteries draining), got the replacement, had to send that back...
Great customer service, but a lacking product IMHO. Went to surefire and, not suprisingly, they work when needed.

Don't have much experience with Pentagon lights, but with my experience with surefires, I would not substitute them for any other light.
Keith, I got my safariland in today. I love that company! They charged my half price(mil discount) and it got here rather quick.

Surefire 100%. I use my Z2 religiously. My buddy bought a Pentagon light at the PX after his no-name crapped out. Two days later and one collision with the door on the 1114 (don't ask- Murphy helped) and it too was toast.
I can't count the beatings my Surefire has taken in it's 30 months downrange and countless training rotations. It's still working great.

I'm against all of you
I have a pentagon on my real weapon that I carry every day, 3000 rounds and never had to send it back.
Pentagon charges about $268 for their standard light that has 70 Lums and an ARMS throw lever mount. They have the a 135 lums model for $300.
SF Charges $375 for their standard light that has 100 Lums with the Sure Fire screw on mount. Both have one hour run times. The students here use SF Lights. I have seen them break.
Interesting to see is Pentagon continues to grow. Have to wait and see I guess.

If he would of been looking where he was going instead of admiring his obviously superior Tac Light. Maybe he wouldn't of walked into the dam door.............

While we have diverted to a light discussion, y'all do know SF gives LE/mil 25% off when you order from them right? That $375 light is actually $281 for us.

So do's Pentagon, ARMS, Larue, Magpul, Tango Down, Paraclete, Oakly...etc, etc, etc. I always liked the discount where signing your name was all the payment required. When buying accessories for my personal Guns. I would have to have a lot of Ammo stockpiled before dropping $300 on a light. If they weren't free I wouldn't have them.
They are excellent lights. Amazing technology no doubt. But IMO the Tactical Light Market could use some competition.
A lot of the better discounts advertised only apply to Unit or Agency purchases. Private Mil, LEO discounts aren't always as good. Thats great that they do that. But WTF when your charging $375 for a light you can afford..................never mind I'm done.
