I found some irreplacable items that I thought were lost in the big warehouse fire a few weeks ago. Glad i was lazy and didn't pack them with the movers and mailed them instead.

Was standing in line at Wallgreen's yesterday, place was jam packed so I was over in "camera" for my purchase check out. Old WWII Vet comes up to get his pictures and it looks like he's trying to choose which prints he can afford to have doubles made.

There were a lot of red, white and blue balloons so I was guessing the pics were from a Veteran's Day celebration. I had the cashier ring up his picture bill on my bill and shook his hand. As happy as he was it made me feel like I just gave him a million bucks.

Congratulations, Tatonka. I was thinking of Chris yesterday as I was holding my new son and looking at YOUR book. I can not wait to tell him the story of a heroic Special Forces warrior named Chris who sacrificed everything so that we could enjoy freedom.

Thank you incarcerated.

Look forward to hearing about it, we shall not forget your son (nor all the others) who has given full measure.

Lightbulb 82+ degrees and no snow

My happy thought today was not having to think about work and getting wet out on the west coast down here. Not a perfect day but a GOOD one as I went I dove and I returned......... Another Happy thought for today was that I destroyed a bunch of LionFish today.

That is me....... I hate dragging the Pony tank around when hunting Lion Fish...... Never know when an emergency comes up........ Had a new diver that freaked out in St Thomas 2 months ago when she ran out for not maintaining awareness and as we tried to Buddy Breath she almost drowned me....... I had to push back multiple times so she finally got the bottle shoved into her mouth and I ascended near her. She finally calmed down..... Last time I jump on a boat with a bunch of Cruse ship suto divers. I like it because I can take it apart for travel down here.........

Really ???

Never been a big fan of those things. Always thought they were a waste of money. Loved it when kids used to come into the shops I worked in, and asked for them. Said they wanted to use it like how they saw it used on Baywatch. I would just sit there shaking my head and laughing. I'd tell their mothers (who they talked into, to buy them one), to just put away their credit cards and look at getting certified instead. Of course they didn't want to. They didn't want to sit through the classes and just wanted to do the "quick and easy route".

But if it works for you ... then more power to ya.

Really her Dive Buddy was nowhere to be found and she was out there alone......

You are right... Lots of people think get one and go swimming....... You are better that most LDS by turning them away....... You know most LDS's would not turn down the money.. GOOD FOR YOU..... Only used it 2 times over the years and it paid for it's self...... It is part of my Boy Scout background (Always Be Prepared) and a little bit lazy on my part in regards to using my Twins or the Pony Bottle on normal dives..... I have practiced with it from 100' and can ascend and do a safety stop on the bottle. Used to have their military smaller version in our over water kit and that is where I decided to get one...... Fits into my overall kit and it is handy to clear my boat anchor and prop down here...... Always getting hung up on crap down here.......

Hay of you ever get tired of the cold it is always warm down here....

Looks great! Have you tried any of those "lionfish recipes" that are floating around (tastes like grouper!)?

I'm with Sdiver on SpareAirs, but I know divers that I respect greatly who swear by them. Different strokes!

Keep rubbing it in... I'll enjoy the pictures until I can actually enjoy the water!
