Had food surgery this morning so I should be able to knock out the familiarity portion while I'm dead on my arse for a day or so. Thanks to all for the pointers.

Make sure the weapon is unloaded and somebody else checks it.

The only thing clean on him is his weapon and he made his web gear. He doesn't worry about what workout to do - his ruck weighs what it weighs, his runs end when the enemy stops chasing him. Shoot him in the ass with a Sims round once. He will then be more than happy to stop whatever he's doing to check your weapon for dry fire.
