So, does the M1A SOCOM come with an armorer to keep it running?

This SOCOM 16 rifle is featured in the latest American Rifleman mag- for you fellow NRA members.

Also the Marine Corps' Special Operations Detachment 1 1911 Kimber .45 is in there too.

I hate to reactivate this thread, but I used the handy dandy search button before I asked and read what every said on it.

Since this thread was in 2004...my question is this.

Has anyone since gotten to shoot and evaulate this rifle? I ask because I have always like the Springfields but never got to try out this model. I good friend at work is wanting to sell his rifle and the price is right.

Any thoughts?

Yeah.

Firing it confirmed my suspicions.

Read through all of the posts on this thread again and tell me what advantage it has over the standard M-1A or M-14?

Advantage #2. Reason to get rid of that pesky and cumbersome disposable
income.
Advantage #3. Have your very own 50m personal shooting perimeter at your local civilian range.
