Glock has some nice handguns in the .40 caliber range. The model 22 is used by many local PDs. Also one can get barrels for 9MM and .357 fairly cheap and use the same Mags, etc as the .40 to fire them. Its a lot cheaper to fire 9MM then .40

40 Compact is my summer carry. Loaded with Winchester Rangers. This time of year I go with a full sized 1911. TLE RL II is on me now with 230gr CorBons.
I live in VA and have come to find NC as a pretty nice place. I'm visiting a friend at Bragg right now and haven't run into any problems (I work in MD just outside DC). He live's in Hope Mills.
I'd still like to see in person the LeMas ammo. Good info and pics, just need a good line on some of it!!! 
Oh yeah,....I never realized how big Bragg was. Friggin huge!!! Lots of places for sneaky dudes to hide.

During the War for Southern Independence, there was a major cav battle on Bragg, three or four corps worth.
I looked it up on the current range map today. For those who know Bragg, north of Campbell's Crossroads, just south of Morganton Road, between Juniper Creek and Nicholson Creek. Battle of Monroe's Crossroads.

I think you will like it.
If you call Kramer and talk to Will, he is making a MSP for the P2000 for me. I am sure that he could throw a second one together at the same time. Be sure to mention that you are SF at the same time. They like that.
As far as accessories go, I think that you will need an X200B from SureFire if you do not have one, and the DG-14 switch that you can see in my pics will fit, though it is not designed for the P2000. PM me if you decide to order anything from them.

After searching, this thread seemed like the closest match...
I have recently acquired an HK USP 9 SD.
Based on other information, it seems that the condition 3 configuration is preferable to DAO. Therefore, I would not want to change that aspect of the firearm.
Would it be worthwhile to obtain the match trigger in a carry weapon? Are there trade-offs to consider? Are there drawbacks?
Other threads suggest that the match trigger assembly is difficult to purchase, and finding installation services is problematic. However, I believe I have a source for the match trigger.
I'm under the impression that Team Sergeant uses his H&K's with no modification to the trigger, so this may be a strong argument against using the match trigger.
I regret to say that my Google searches have produced remarkably little information, although there seem to be a few reports that the match trigger is somewhat better than the original item.
As always, thoughts and recommendations are greatly appreciated.

I was told not to modify a carry piece at all. If your involved in a defensive shooting the theory is modifications can cause you problems in civil and possibly criminal court .
I was also told to only use factory ammunition in your carry gun (some guy from the internet said to try and use the same bullets as your local LEOs???).

Congratulations on your purchase.
I love HK and the USP and USPc in particular.
If I remember correctly the Tactical and Expert variants use a match grade trigger. But from the sources I have spoken to and read I would at this time agree with the above post regarding modification of the trigger for CCW until such time I learn different.
In anycase, the USP or USPc can outshoot me as it is, so I spend my bank and schools instead-

Thank you, Sten. You make some good points - and I had not even considered finding out which ammo the LEOs in the area use. That's a great idea!
Ccrn, as nearly as I can tell, the 9mm version has an adjustable trigger stop, but NOT a match grade trigger. This contrasts with the .40 and .45 version. (I am not certain this is the case - so I would not want to be dogmatic.)
