I got rid of the stiffness after about a week, though I went into the field 4 days after the surgery. I took it easy on PT and worked more on stretching and flexibility than anything else. Didn't go the physical therapy route as the doctor told me I really didn't need it given the plan I gave him. He told me that's about what they'd have me do anyway.

After two weeks I hit the pool twice a day at a mile a pop with a kickboard followed by stationary bike for 10 miles backing the resistance off at mild pain.

Last week I hit the month mark and went to the Doc for follow-up on Tuesday. Got cleared to go on the eliptical and will start jogging on grass and other soft surfaces next week.

So far, range of motion has returned and no persistent pain. Every once in a while I'll get a quick pain, as if it's reminding me its still there, but not nearly what I had two months ago.

So far so good.

But squat on the balls of my feet and I get a sharp pain on the back of the knee at the top of the calf as I lower into the squat. Once resting on the balls of my feet, there then is a very mild "pain" in what feels like deep inside the knee, like the resting on the balls of the my feet is pulling something within the knee joint. I also experience a crunching sound within the knee as I squat.

I had thought maybe I had sprained my ACL, now I am wondering if this is a meniscus tear? Or maybe knee arthritis I developed? Anyone know what the problem could be?
Don't squat.

Eat your rice balls standing up.
