Hey John working the same type of issue here. the only difference for me is that I am at an overseas duty location. As of 20 Dec 2010 the new force management programs came out. For the Os there are several ways to do the Blue to Green program. Send me a private message and I will email you the packet that AFPC put out.

I am in a similar situation with BR. Does anyone know how it works with reservists in terms of being considered a prior? I served six years in the USMC reserves to the rank of E-5 to include a deployment to Fallujah. I have dropped to the IRR now, and technically I still belong to the USMC IRR command. I went and spoke to the recruiter yesterday and she said that she didnt know if I would be able to join as an 18X. I was an 0311 by trade, just wondering if anyone knows how the most efficient way to go about this transition would be. Again, I have the utmost respect for all of you Quiet Professionals and I would like to thank you for your time and effort in any assistance possible.

Also, I have a friend in the pipeline right now and he mentioned that the Army will be stopping the 18x contract. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Very Respectfully,
Dailey, K.R.
