Not wishing to beat an already dead horse, however, I had a sudden desire to obtain a lever-rifle in .357, and hastily traded off my Kimber Pro Tactical II, for a NIB Rossi 92 16". I tried a number of .357 loads, and they simply would not feed from the mag tube to chamber, yet .38 Spcl feeds flawlessly. A call to well known Rossi smith, to find out he was out of the needed part, and suggested to send it in for warranty service (quoted as a minimum 6 month turnaround).
Now, I am seeking out a Marlin 1894C, to have Wild West Guns convert into a Co-Pilot, to match my .457 Co-Pilot.......A call to WWG, and it seems the Marlins are selling for over 1.5k......I have not given up on the Rossi, just perhaps a little dis-heartened.....Beautiful gun, decent finish, and handy sized. Yet, for now, if I need the extra power, I am left with Buffalo Bore Heavy-.38 Special loads, until I make the commitment to send it off for warranty service.
