Concur.

No video unless someone sends me a nice new camera to capture it with.

Last shot.

Why only a 3000 round can? Go with the new dillon 4400 round cans. They do make an attachments for brass and link chutes so they dont end up in the floor of the vehicle. Yall need a Minigun expert up there

Because as I understand it, 3,000 is about all it can stand if you were to go cyclic and burn through it all in one long burst.

The way it is set up, the brass all goes on or off the side of the roof, none inside the vehicle, which is a good thing.

You can make your recommendation to NWSC Crane, or to the Force Mod guys if you want. I can hook you up.

Don't think they are hiring Urdu speaking PSYOP guys to be gunslingers, but I am aware of your GE expertise.

Ah, you have the duel rate GAU, well since we are talking army M-134. I know the folks at Crane, they are our source for everything minigun also. I know yall have it covered, but think extra feeders, Immediate Action for jams ect. The weakest link is the Can and feed chute.

BTW I returned the Urdu CD's, staying in my lane now, try and leave Latam and got my pee pee smacked

Thumbs up Never give me a few of those things!

Just two A-Teams patrolling BIAP road. I'd have the entire stretch secured in a week!

Got to love that Dillon guy - He makes/modifies some really nice toys. The SWCS Media Gurus did an immediate action video of the minigun for non-aviation types not too long ago that included the standard version and the Dillon mods (feed system). Some of the guys in the office had a "blast" being "models" (none as good looking as Dillon's "Machinegun Magic" crew). TR - Do you know who they "borrowed" the rig from and which version it was? Weapons Center Crane brought it down.

It was not the dual rate version, it was single rate, 3000 rpm.

GD Gary has the specs on it, if you are interested.

My only concern would be extreme movements, that would bind the feed chute and cause the belt to start to seperate. That causes timing problems/jams.

Oh, I see how you are. Your idea of psywar is to just let the enemy hear that minigun firing a few thousand rounds? LOL

Who is the guy shooting in the last pic? He looks like my old PSG.

I am more of a fan of the dual rate gun if it's not hard mounted to keep down on the jams. The rounds have quite a tendency to snag in the shoot as you traverse, which stretches the links and causes some horrible jams. With the lower rate you can get on target and then cycle up as needed. Just a couple things I learned about when I watched the dillon video. And for gods sakes get a "laser"!

Ive not done much in the way of Psyop for about 3 years. LOL, Lately Ive been spending my days working on miniguns, and watching HN guys shoot down their own helos with them. No not another helo, the one that the mini was mounted in.

Go back to the first page, look at the size of the Feed Chute and the empties as they are being ejected. Compare that to the size of the Operator's Hands. That is .308 (7.62) !!!

Gotcha...I'll take your word that it's 7.62....only miniguns I was around were on taskforce boards......

(which apparently fire just by spinning the barrel with your hands! Another Ranger found that out!)
