18C3V:

Roger Sarn't.

Its at Ft McClellan. I wont be there the entire 3 weeks, but will be there part of the time. Too bad you wont be coming down. It is supposed to be some great training from the information I have heard/been privy to.

Guy:

I will be sure to pack a flightsuit. Thanks for the heads up.

One of the SGTs at SFAUC was trying to recuit me to go TDY for 2-3 months as OPFOR and staff at SFAUC. I almost did it but I cant miss that much of my medic classes in school. Would have loved to been there to get the osmosis training and the trigger time.

We just came off a two week sim and live killhouse ex down in the US of A.

While the uppers and lowers were ours we drew MILES (yeah odd but wait) and sim gear from the Base.

We used MILES and SIMUNITION together - the MILES worked well for the longer ranges and the sims good for inside the houses. Not a 100% solution but better than the systems in isolation.

We were provided with SIM helmet and neck screen, Neck Guard, Elbow and Knee Pads, and a JOCK.

The Elbow and Knee pads (most guys have their own) were optional but BASE safety required the rest to be worn - we had done this previously with only our helmets and Bolle gogles, and as well with our Helmets and a Paintball type front face mask.
