Hello. Thanks for allowing me to be a guest on the forums. My military experience is extremely limited, only 2-1/2 years at the boat school being a college kid and a squid.

These days I work as an electrical engineer in the construction industry, designing site infrastructure and building systems.

Thanks to all for your hospitatlity and willingness to share a portion of your valueable knowledge.

Greetings, my name is Robert, I joined the army after college in '03 spent five years in and now I'm back in Texas working in the budding film industry here in Dallas.

My mos was 33w and I spent my entire time in 5th SFG, Ft. Campbell, KY, did two tours, airborne, and a ton of other great training. I'm here to try and find a friend who I've lost contact with.

Hello All-
Thanks for inviting me in to stay a while and listen. Glad to be here, and greatful for the service (both militarily and site wise).

Graduated two years ago and have since been teaching afterschool programs to at risk teens. This past summer I felt a higher calling to serve this great nation. I had been doing research on PJs when, specifically reading the book No Room For Error, I became very interested in SF. Just finished the book Chosen Soldier, by Couch, and am very excited to continue my research and maybe some day work alongside you fine gentlemen.

What interests me most about SF? I'm a firm believer in the motto, and the by, with and through techniques. Thank you again for letting me sit in and learn.

Greetings All!

Found this site on a search and have been lucky enough to creep around on it for some time now. I met a former QP/EOD while working in the PMC sector and ever since have been intrigued by their knowledge and professionalism. I'm sure some of you know him, He was Army SF in the early to mid eighties, left the army and came back EOD. I'm sure some of you may know him, I'm sure he wouldn't mind me typing his name but I don't think that would be proper protocol at this time. He was a bit of a mentor, and almost an idol to me and ever since Ive wanted to attend SFAS.

Leave for deployment sometime at the end of this year to Afghanistan, on my way back I EAS, and hopefully Ill have the opportunity to attend SFAS.

Hope to learn a bit, and hopefully find a QP near where I live have as a mentor and friend.

Take care

Hello-

I have been reading posts for some time now, learning what I can from all the QP's that have been there and done that. I have been the "gray guy" and will continue to be.

I have been an engineer since I enlisted in “96”, I have only one deployment under my belt and that was to Iraq in “03”. After a 2 ½ year break in service I decided to get back in, shortly after reenlisting I realized who and what I wanted to be. So here I am learning from the best. Thank you for the opportunity to enter your house.

Introduction

Hey

I'm a student currently residing and studying in the UK, entering University in Fall '09 to major in Russian with English Literature.
Stumbled across this site not too long ago and was intrigued, first off by the information about a possible career choice and secondly by the existence of what seems to be pretty reasonable discussion areas for Politics and Current Affairs.

thank you for letting me into your house

Hi folks,

I'm an 88M20 in LAARNG with 5 years in. I just volunteered for my first overseas tour. I figure it's not a bad way to end my first hitch. Looking forward to enlisting in the ALARNG when I get back as well as getting the chance to earn the knowledge of the SF soldier and the chance to serve with the best.

Another Intro

Greetings gents, and thanks for lettin' me in the door. I've been a lurker for a while - gathering information for my soldiers and my self. This is a damn good place for info of all kinds!
I'm a 23 year Infantryman (early on), now a PSYOP'er, and have had the pleasure of working with a few QP's here and there. I always learn a lot more than I can give in return, hence my seeking out this site. Maybe one day I can pay some back. Til then I plan on soaking up as much "smart" as I can, never know when it'll come in handy.
Thanks for what you do, and thanks for the opportunity to get on this site.

Hello Gentlemen,
At this moment, I have 7 days until I will be on a bus heading for the Reception Batallion. I have an 18x contract signed and there is no feeling of failure in my mind. A little bit about me-

-I am 22 with 60 hours of Engineering school behind me (I recently realized it was to please my parents and not what I wanted to be doing)
-5'9" 155lbs
-APFT - 300 (85 pushups, 78 situps, 12:39 2-mile)

I am excited like I have never been before just to have this chance to join your world. I have wanted to do it as long as I can remember but I just hit my wise point.

Thanks all,
Ryan C (Cro)

Introduction

Hello. My name is Alex. Just dropping in to introduce myself, per SOP. I'm not new to the SF community. I am fluent in Spanish, ASL and have a little knowledge of Arabic. I recently had the privilege to work for an employer that placed me in an environment surrounded by 18D's. That experience helped guide me in a new direction in my life. I am looking at going in soon, but have not yet secured a contract. With that said, I am here to absorb as much as I can before taking the first step. Thanks for your time.

Intro.

Hello Gents. Mike here, and I would like to thank you for allowing me into your house. I have served in the Corps, (early 90's) and did a "prior service year" with 19th SFG. I have always had the utmost repsect and admiration for the SF, and am grateful to have the opportunity to soak up some more knowledge from this forum. Thanks again.
