Hello, I'm Justin, I've been lurking on SOCNET for a week ( having problems posting there) I was with the 1/501st PIR (Alaska) from 92-95, suffered a torn ACL/MCL on a jump and never jumped again. I currently work as a firefighter/paramedic in Florida. I was thinking about joining the NG. This is a great site, thanx for the work you do here.

1-18 was turfed to IRF during OIF I to help cover EUCOM's loss of the 173rd. At least that's what they told us. 1-26 ramped up for deployment to Turkey and then stood down. 1-18 lost a great man by the name of CPT Hans Kurth at the beginning of OIF II but that's all I have heard so far.

Yes, it was Kurth I read about. I thought he was a 1LT; my mistake.

Goodday gentlemen, I was Huggies over at socnet, but I have recently graduated to Sponge. I'm an 18D in phase V heading to Lewis in a few months. Looking forward to involvement in this great community, not only this site, but the overall SF community.

Hello gentlemen,
I found this site through a SOCnet post.
I was prior service active duty in Ft Benning and Germany. Got out to finish my BS. Currently doing PT to lost some weight stupidly gained during my civilian stint. Thinking about applying to OCS around the beginning of 05.
I am hugely interested in applying for SFAS when the time comes, and join this fine community.
I will be mostly lurking.
Have a good day.

Thanks for the welcome Team Sergeant! I've heard nothing but good things about Lewis. I'm expecting to be quite busy up there, but if I do have the time, I'd love to get into fly fishing. Went on a few trips in Colorado. Total beginner, couldn't tell ya one lure from another, but I'll be damned if thats not the most relaxing sport on the planet, unless you're hungry that is.

Howdy

Howdy all, I just started lurking around here and figured I would introduce myself. I'm Jon from Boston. At the moment I'm trying to find my path in life so I'm researching every possible avenue to get where I eventually want to be, working with the Quiet Professionals. I go by Apollo on Socnet.
I find I learn more being quiet and listening than engaging my mouth. Thus I may be around, but you won't hear much from me.
Jon

I have spent some time on active duty , but currently in the National Guard. I got the link to this site from a Army web site on training material.

I am planning on attending SFAS in jan 2005 if all goes well, been doing alot of reseach and i hope this site and its members will be able to fill in some gaps i have had. or atleast point me in the right direction.

right now am also working towards my degree in Counter Terrorism.

Thank You

Hello to everyone. I posted and observed on SOCNET as potentialbabySF for a while. It actually taught me a lot about myself and my attitude. I hope to continue that trend by observing the pearls on this site as well. Thank you for your guidance, whether it was intended or not.

Hi gentlemen.
I just found this post so I thought I should give you the formal intro.
I am a Swede who did a stint in 2:nd Amphibious batalion.
Out since a couple of years but try to keep updated on things.
I am looking forward to lurk and read the boards.

I have seen some of you post in other houses and came about this site while lurking on SOCnet.

Torleif.
