Oakley Gloves

Quick question; has anyone used oakley gloves for work purposes? How did they stand out?

I had a couple pair sent to me on the last Afghanistan trip. If you have large hands, you may want to look for another glove. I fit fine into most XL gloves on the market, but the Oakley XXL gloves were still a little snug.

I am not a huge fan of the Carbon Fiber knuckles either. For normal use it gets a bit annoying, and can dig into the knuckles after a while. (Note: this could be due to the small size of the gloves vs. hand)

On a better note, I did think they made good mechanic gloves while fixing the vehicles.

thanks for the comments H2H...seems like this could be an item I shouldnt invest in....big hands also mean difficulty in getting the ole hands out of the gloves..

i get the impression the gloves look or seem like mt bike gloves..

I have a pair, Love and work great. They are a tight fitting pair of gloves. But I like them for that. The only thing I don't like, its small, is the gloves cut stops just before your watch. Some people like them for that. Around here, with the "walls" I would like the glove to have a bit more length to stop the dirt from running down your hand. The tight fit can cut into your knuckles.

Great pair of Gloves.

They offer good dexterity and the ability to "feel" the trigger once broken in. I put them on and soked them with water to break them in.

I have small hands so the Oakley gloves were perfect for me. I used the carbon fiber knuckle guard for what I thought they were intended for and they worked great. I will say the flash suppressor trick works better though.

I would be nice for them to make a "winter" pair made of something along the lines of Gore WindStopper. Winter night they get cold and OR gloves aren't that good with the grip.

diamondback tactical

oakely as far as I know does not sell them directly through their wed site or any of their stores, however the only web site or online tactical store i know that sells them and where I got them from was diamondbacktactical.com

having said that, I ordered these with the impression i'd be using them in the field, but when I was FAP'ed over to PMO I dont really have too much use for them except for on the range or when it's cold in the morning. i'd not recommend them for a cold morning, but in the tactical sense they are nice gloves. the reinforced knuckle padding is excellent for if you need to give a detainee a quick and hard lil persuader to calm him down, and extra lil bits on the trigger fingers help with any slipping on the trigger, though i'd have preffered that they had left off the plastic oakley O on the wrists as after a bit of wear and tear they'll just fall off and for all intensive purposes they have no purpose, having said that i'd definatly get them or blackhawk hellstorm gloves.

This has been brought up before, but they can be purchased here direct from Oakley with Govt. ID, for a good price. No ODG as far as I can see though.
