Greetings to all in the SF community it is truly a privilege to be in this circle of past and present "QP's". You continue to maintain a history of excellence by recruiting, producing and mentoring a unique breed of SF Soldier(s) for the future. Thank you for accepting my membership. Currently deployed my AOC QM/LOG, slotted as DET CDR, our special mission continues to teach me tremendously about unconventional warfare, the decisions made are not from lessons taught in a school house, Journal, or AR-FM. Its either you have the natural ability to defuse or neutralize potentially tense conflict situation, or you don't. While some skill-set takes time to develop for some I truly understand, when "QP" member said "Its a total package the community is looking for." I look forward to many healthy discussions and mentorship from "QP" IOT enhance my profession not as a leader, but a servant to those I'm leading, for they (Soldier) determine if i'm a leader.

Hello all. Prior service active duty Marine (2004 to 2008) with two Iraq deployments here. Graduated college, learned Russian, and am finally looking to pursue the dream to become a Special Forces soldier via 18X program. I wish I did it earlier, but better late than never! I look forward to learning as much as I can from this site.

Hello,
I am a student who is considering pursuing an 18x contract when I become age eligible. I would like to serve my country, and I greatly respect the men and the mission of the Special Forces. I joined the site to learn and seek advice.
Thank you for your service.

Hello, I've been a member for a few years and never posted an intro. I'm currently a student at IBOLC and am due to attend Ranger School in January. This site is a great source of info and I look forward to continue learning from here.

Introduction
I posted here several years ago and then again recently but did not post an introduction.
A while after I returned from RVN, where I was with the 1/7th Cavalry of the First Cavalry Division, I went to SFQC in the summer of 1973 (class 1-74). Since then I have had deployments several times to Central America, including Operation Just Cause (1989), to Korea and a number of CONUS sites.
I spent 19 years in SF and retired in 1992 as SGM of Co B, 3d Bn, 12th SFG(A).

Hello, I am a 28 year old college graduate and after too many years of awful unfulfilling work in the private sector, I have made the executive decision to follow in my uncle's footsteps and do all I can to earn the honor of wearing the green beret by signing an 18X contract. I have long term goals, but i am keeping my eyes on the 25m target with selection in the 10 ring.
I have read Get Selected!, SF/Ranger workout by Stew Smith, hired a personal trainer with much USMC infantry (Army, much less SF, is hard to find in San Diego) experience for general weight training, and PT twice a day, 5-6 days/week.

Hello, my name is Kent. I've come to learn and hopefully apply what i've learned here, and go to selection. I'm a mechanic in the 82nd , 25 yrs. old, and a pretty hard charger. I like the life style of SF and CAG operators, the gear, the treatment, and the brotherhood. Thanks and GOD Bless.

My name is Jeff. I have recently sworn in and am awaiting a delayed entry on 18x in the US Army Active.
Due to this, I will not release a lot of information publicly, although will provide information if asked privately by a Quiet Professional.
I don't plan on posting much, however, I do plan on reading everything and anything I come across.
Thank you for all the help and service every member has given.

I am in the same boat as far as doing unfulfilling private sector work and being a college grad. Good luck to you - I will be signing an 18X contract in the next two weeks as an old man at 28 as well.
From all the researching and reading I have done on SF, it amazes me how diverse the SF crowd is. Working professionals, students with college degrees, prior service military guys, etc. I am extremely encouraged by the stories of a lot of the SF soldiers out there, and I can't wait to get in the mix!

Hello all. I am 22, active Army. I'm a vehicle mechanic currently deployed. I've been drawn to Special Forces for a while and I am hoping to attend selection shortly after my unit's return.
