The last mags I bought were from Bravo (looked like LaBelle aluminum bodies), had Magpul followers, and were Teflon coated. I have not wrung these out over an extended period, but thus far, they are running fine, and I didn't need new mag pouches to carry them.

I do not know where you have been buying issue type mags for almost $30 apiece, but the Bravo mags this thread was written about (and that I purchased in Teflon with the Magpul followers and CM springs) were about $12 each.

I apologize for any misunderstanding. When I was talking about prices, I meant that if someone was to upgrade their existing GI aluminum mags which are usually about $15 each with the additions of MagPul followers, and Magpul baseplates it would raise the price of their mags to around $30 each.

Of course, even with all I said about the benifits of P-Mags, you'll still find dozens of GI Aluminum magazines in my personal gear trunk. Because as someone else already said, "Why not? If they're free?" lol.

Bump.

You might want to buy now, before the next President and Congress are sworn in.

The days of cheap hi-caps may be coming to an end, and stocks are already getting low.

$11.99 each for Teflon coated CP mags with enhanced followers, in stock.

I have 30 x 30rd Pmags and 40+ Steel Bodied USGI Mags......You think i should buy more

I could understand repair kits for someone in my boat.

I spoke with my brother this morning, there was a line outside the gun store before they opened. I'm a gun nut, and don't believe myself to be a conspiratorial type (step 1: Denial.....complete). But I do think that regardless of the president elect, all of us need to hold on tight with both hands to our 4th point of contact. When first time buyers are making an issue of not being entirely sure of their rights to own firearms, I take note.

I agree with TR, buy what you can and do so smartly. Prices tomorrow may very well jump beyond a reasonable amount. RUMINT has it that major manufacturers are pushing more stock items to big distributors like RSR and AccuSport to offload items to reduce overhead that won't move after the new year. High ticket items have these guys scared like the last push for the AWB. Fear Mongering in my opinion isn't the case here as much as it is a very marginal shift that over time has slowly gained acceptance. Your rights are no longer yours, just given to you by a person that deems it appropriate to remind you of what you are entitled to, while selectively choosing to keep you uninformed of what is in the Bill of Rights.

Think of gas prices......a decade ago I spent $1.15 for gas to fill up my car. I hit an all time high at $4.18 to fill up my truck. Roughly 4 times the amount you paid a decade ago. Yet I hear people saying "$2.35 is better than $4"

OK rant and off and sorry to hijack this thread.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
