My son advises that on the military net they're announcing tryouts & doing direct recruiting. Can this be correct? I thought that they more or less "reach out" for the people they want among the overachievers in the Rangers, Green Beret's and 82nd Airborne. I was also under the impression they only looked at troops possessing a Bachelor's degree or higher.
I haven't had a doubt about anything my son's told me since 'bout his 19th year, but this seems rather odd!
