Is Thalassemia minor without any anemia a disqualification for 18x contract?

Hello,
I have read on a different forum that someone was disqualified from attending SFAS because he has Thalassemia Minor. But the army regulations I have googled said that as long as people have Hematocrit levels under a certain specific levels, they are qualified to enlist (and for flight duty).
Can anyone please confirm to me if thalassemia minor without anemia is a disqualifying factor for 18x contract? All of my blood tests show that my hematocrit levels are within army regulations (not anemic), but I have thalassemia minor.
PS: I have searched thalassemia minor, and some variations of it, in the search box, but could not find any relevant information. Any information, or if you could point me in the appropriate direction, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
thehopefulone.
