Staff Sergeant Donald J. Fawcett R I P
Born April 10, 1941 Monongahela, PA. KIA Sunday July 03, 1966 at age 25. Don was from C Company 1st Special Forces Gp. Assigned to FOB-2, CCC, MACV-SOG, 5th Special Forces Gp. He died while missing after a Helicopter crash over land in Quang Tin Province, South Vietnam. His body was recovered and identified on 07/12/1966. From June 10, 1964 to Dec. 09, 1964 Don was the senior medical NCO on ODA-333 with me as the Jr. medic at Camp Plei Mrong in the Central Highlands @ 25Kilometers northwest of Pleiku. His name is on The Wall Panel 08E Row 123. Rest in Peace, YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN. TK
PS. If you ever get to Washington, DC go by The Wall and say HI to Don, He was a great soldier and a great person.
