What is the purpose of immigration, assuming that we are not looking for some sort of liberal multicultural Coke commercial utopia?
If we have an adequate labor pool, it would seem to me that immigration should be severely limited, if not closed. Those we do permit to immigrate should fill a niche and meet a need that we have. If you have no skills, do not speak the language, and have no desire to be productive and assimilate into the melting pot, why do we need to bring you here?
Anyone with an opposition to living peacefully under the laws and societal mores of this country and becoming productive members of society is unlikely to be an asset. Why bring them here?
