Design strengths of the CRK GB vs Pacfic.

This question goes mostly to Mr. Harsey, though I would be appreciative of any insights.

I know that when it comes to knife design, the knowledgeable knife designer puts a great deal of thought into the mission of the knife he is designing and the necessary compromises of designing a tool to best meet all of the requirements for that mission or purpose. The Green Beret and Pacific are both designed as Special Forces knives, yet they have many interesting differences: The Green Beret with its longer narrower spear-pointed blade, vs the wider clip-pointed blade on the Pacific, for example. The handles are also quite different, and I expect that every contour was sweated over.

From the designer standpoint, what was the thinking behind the design of these two knives and what are the relative performance strengths of the two different designs?
