Pete Quiet Professional Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Fayetteville Posts: 13,080	The Golden Knights March 8th, 1973 a C-47 military aircraft carring members of Fort Bragg's Golden Knights parachute team crashes in a cornfield in Northern Chatham County killing all on board. The team was en route to Overland Park, KS on a recruiting mission. "From the Archives" Fayetteville Observer.
