Age Requirements

Ok so I have searched the forums about this and couldnt find what I was looking for. So here is my question. I know that to get an 18x contract you have to be 20, and I have heard from recruiters that you have to be 20 when you go to sign up at MEPS even if your turning 20 in a couple of months. In my case in December. I recall seeing somewhere that you had to be 20 upon completion of AIT if you have the 18x contract. So which is correct? I am trying to decide weather to wait a couple of months or to go ahead and sign up and try to get a ranger option.

Man, who'd a thunk it. SF Recruiting has a Face Book page.

http://www.bragg.army.mil/sorb/

And a web site.

Contact them for the straight skinny right from the horse's mouth.

Question a question

Gentlemen,

I wanted to write to SORB with a question, however, in the 'Contact Us' section it states that they are only in charge of recruiting members who are already on duty. In the contact form they want you to enter MOS, Rank, and GT score.

What would you suggest I, as a civilian, do to get in contact with them without filling the form with phony information?

What's the rush?

Do you want to be SF, or SOF?

That's an SOWT task - you're looking at the wrong outfit.

I do not see the urgency, young Jedi.
