MP5 10mm mag pouch?

G'day all,

I know this is an agency specific weapon and y'all don't (to my knowledge) use them, but you are gear experts if I ever saw one.

I need a MOLLE compatible magzine pouch for an MP5 (10mm) magazine. I found one at diamondback made by battlelab. Still, I want to know all my options before I buy.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Kevin

Give optactical.com a try. They carry stuff from different companies (TT, paraclete, etc). I'm sure you'll find something there.

I've ordered from them several times. They are fast with shipping and have great customer service.

Thanks. I didn't find anything that will work (all 9mm), but that is a great site for gear!!

I guess I am out of luck. The one I linked above is too small based upon the measurements the sales folks just took of one.

I was afraid of this... we are the only ones using these guns and now they are out of production. Guess I'll keep sticking my spare mag in my back pocket. I guess I could also clip them together (they only gave me 2).

Tactical Tailor makes a UMP .45 mag pouch in tan & multicam: http://www.tacticaltailor.com/index....ROD&ProdID=255

The mags are similar, are they not?

Send a PM to Eggroll or Military Moron. Egg makes custom gear and MM retails it. Both of them have bent over backwards to help guys with far more difficult issues. FWIW - Peregrino

The tactical tailor pouches should fit. Our MP5 .40 and UMP .40 mags both fit.

Not sure what the dig is for, but I joined this site while on active duty.

And yes, my MP5 is for arrests but I am not on the SWAT team. So, I generally won't be going into places that require a full combat load. If two MP5 magazines and my sidearm with a couple spares isn't enough... I most likely shouldn't have been there. I'd be pulling back so the SWAT bubbas can take care of business.

Remember, I also have to carry cuffs and other tools a soldier doesn't. Not to mention I am operating in the CONUS -- not fighting my way to the objective.

Thanks! I might do that. I figured custom gear would be fairly expensive.

LA Police Gear has Black Hawk MP5 Pouches for $23.00. Strike MOLLE 3 mag. IIRC, both Desert tan and Black.

www.lapolicegear.com

Just look under the Black Hawk modular section.

Thanks. Unfortunately they are for the 9mm MP5 mags. The 10mm mags are more like the UMP mags -- straight and wider/thicker.

Heres and option: Safety Systems Coporation has a drop down leg pouch for the 10mm/40 MP5/10 2 mag system. It isn't a MOLLE chest mount, but it may do just as well to use this system and save the MOLLE chest rig for other kit.

Personally, I'd find it easier to strip one of those long mags from my left leg than on my chest, unless you kant the pouches at a 45% angle on the chest. Wearing mag pouches of that size on the chest may prove cumbersome for reloading quickly. Just a thought .02

The other option is as stated above, the MM, or possibly SOE GEAR, now called BDS Tactical. They have done some personal orders but of course the cost is dependent on thier time and materials.

www.bdstactical.com Give them a call. They customized a thigh rig for my H&K Mk 23 with a suppressor pouch on the front.
