China establishes 'air-defence zone' over East China Sea
China establishes 'air-defence zone' over East China Sea
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-25062525
"China has demarcated an "air-defence identification zone" over an area of the East China Sea, covering islands that are also claimed by Japan.
China's Defence Ministry said aircraft entering the zone must obey its rules or face "emergency defensive measures"........"
&
"...Taiwan, which also claims the Diaoyu/Senkaku islands, expressed regret at the move and promised that the military would take measure to protect national security......"

Of all the world events in the past 20 years, this is the one most likely to result in a major war that drags the US into it.
Very, very dangerous.

Sounds like China wants to draw a new " Line of Death."
Perhaps the US should remove all restrictions placed on Japan's military establishment by the treaty that ended WWII?

U.S. B-52 bombers defied China's new claimed airspace by flying through it.
This I like.

China Playing Wrong Hand in Territorial Dispute
China's move to enforce an air-defense zone has several countries in the region concerned. The WSJ's Deborah Kan speaks to Scott Harold of RAND Corp., a global think tank, on why China may be playing the wrong hand in its play for islands in the East China Sea.
Interesting analysis.

While they did nothing with the B52s, they are now warning commercial airliners to not trespass. WOW, big braves bastards are they not. This is nothing more than an economic activity. My bet is they are testing the waters to see what they can get away with. Mr K in Russia did the same thing to a young unsure President Kennedy and we almost went to war. Not good.

Yes, that is the most likely course of events, and then he will declare peace in our time.

The left tends to rewrite history to their liking and thus tend to relive it by not learning the pertinent facts and avoiding the pit falls. Kinda like that saying.

Chinese society is Capitalistic, Chinese government is Communist. The communist governement still thinks they need to expand communism. Whatever the reason they believe China needs to spread its power, they are delusional. They should let the capitalists do what they do. The communists should collect their share, stay out of the way and live well. But, as we have experienced over the last 5 years in this country, a delusional idealist is a very dangerous thing...
