Anyone have any good ideas for using Peroxide?

Stumble across a couple of cases that fell off the back of a truck?

Sometimes I use a mixture of alcohol and iodine alternated with hydrogen peroxide for thrush - other than that I find it useless. Kills healthy tissue.

Hydrogen Peroxide is actually much safer and more effective than chlorine bleach solutions for dis-infecting Kitchen Countertops etc. Also good to use on vegetables and fruit. Buy t he quart size and get a trigger sprayer that fits the bottle and you are all set.

It will knock mold and mildew out in the bath.

The hydroxl radical in peroxide supposedly attacks lipid membranes in anaerobes-gram negative orgs. However orgs that have catalase can break this down.

Peroxide also supposedly mechanically removes orgs from sufaces via its foaming action.

Its not approved as a stand alone antimicrobial that I'm aware.

Chlorine on the other hand kills anything rapidly including the AIDS virus. Its downfall is that it evaporates rapidly.

(Edit)

Peroxide does have expansive properties that have been exploited in the past and could be again in a pinch.

Whitening teeth! Especially for those that use tobacco products and/or drink coffee.

Apply it twice a day on toenail fungus until the fungus disappears (6 months or so).

I'm going to have to try this. I'm not to keen on taking oral Tx unless I have too.

I took enough motrin over the years.

I learned the peroxide on fungus trick here on our very own PS.com. There is a thread here that also taught me that I can use vinegar for the same thing. It does work, and like Guy I'm not keen on taking some meds, especially those that require a monthly blood test.
