Robert's Ridge by Malcolm MacPherson

I picked up a copy for 30% off cover at the local BN today

Never had seen it before...Amazon has mixed reviews. Anyone else tried it yet?

Update. Just finished the book.

It's written very well. Definitely for people who liked Bowden's book BHD. Captures feelings of frustration, chaos, terror and anger in detail

I'm not sure how accurate it is, but the author, like Sean Naylor, claims to have interviewed a large cross section of people who were there that day. I know there has been some strong reactions to that...regarding finger pointing, etc.

I thought it was a decent book that tried to get a timeline going from start to finish of what happened on roberts ridge with the two chinooks, the seals, the rangers, the air force crews and pj's.

I think he did as best he could based on accounts and access to information that was available and wasnt classified so I dont know why he got mixed reviews for it.

A decent read..3 out of 5.
