Real ID and NEW mil retiree ID card
I fly now for work - a LOT. I have my “Real ID” star on my driver’s license. All good.
Occasionally I have used my blue “retired mil” for the scanner - never an issue.
Since the Blue retiree cards are “no longer valid” after Dec 31, I got my “new and improved” mil retiree card this past week.
Flying out this morning, slid THAT in the slot -
You need a passport Sir - this is not a “Real ID”😳
My Blue one worked?!?
Yes sir - do you have your blue one? The new ones will not serve as “Real ID” compliant and you will require additional screening.
I probably shouldn’t be surprised - but I think it’s pretty silly. At least I could still use my driver’s license

Well, we all knew that it was only a matter of time before America entered the "Where are your papers ?!?!?!" phase of hashtagdemocracy.
It's a 'Brave New World' my friends...

So I went to the TSA supervisor dude and showed him the DOD website where it says Mil ID is REAL ID compliant-
“Well Sir, we and our machines don’t recognize it as RADL IF compliant so until we get clarification, please use your Drivers License or passport”.
Uhhh -
OK… thank you

How many millions of "undocumented" illegal aliens did we enable to enter this country with little or no documentation over the past decade or two?
Hell, IIRC some states were issuing primary IDs (Driver's Licenses) with virtually no verifiable documentation.
Hopefully, these steps are being taken in an attempt to clean the system back up again.
Pay no attention to the sleeper cells scattered around our little republic and awaiting orders.

a part of my portfolio before I retired in my civilian gig was the south west border. The current thought process is that we had 20-22 Million (that's Million with an "M") illegals in the country before the dementia-addled, daughter-showering reprobate let another 10 to 12 Million (again, that's Million with an "M") in during his four years.
So..we have around 30 to 34 Million (Million with an "M") illegals in this country. That's ten percent (10% for you bean counters) of our population that is illegal that should be ineligible for ANY sort of official ID. one in ten.
God help us.....
Don't get Box going on how we had to get the clot-shot or we'd be out of work, the democrats wanted to take out kids and imprison us, "F*ck" our Freedoms...., etc. whilst Millions (Million with an "M") of shotholers walked across the border with their TB, hoof-N-Mouth, and rape kits in their pristine bags next to their free medicare cards and Obama phones.
I'm not sure we can reclaim our Republic without significant bloodshed.

The system is NOT broken my friends - it is working exactly the way it was designed...
We empower tyrants - on purpose.
Then we wonder why their governance is tyrannical.

Palantir (PLTR) seems to be earning Ok; can't wait for those supercali-MAGA-listic data centers to be built.

Agreed, we're getting the government we tolerate.
