Heads up about BDS Tactical
I ordered some gear from BDS in June...great stuff!!! BUT, they recently switched over to a new billing/inventory system, so I was billed 5 times for it in July and August. The problem has been fixed (bank overdraft fees, etc.), but just wanted to give everyone a heads up who may have an order pending with them to check your bank account, so you dont end up in the red like I did.

Well Back in June our credit card guy ordered a bunch of gear for us from them and as of 1 Oct nothing. We called and they make excuses. Bad customer support from my point of view. I finally CXL the order and had them credit the funds back. Went to two other vendors and had the items I needed here at the APO in 3 weeks.

You know, there is just no excuse for a company to do that especially to someone that is deployed. If you have the gear get it out. If it is on back order send the buyer an e-mail stating as much and give them the chance to find kit elsewhere. No one likes to lose business but in the end you lose more by jerking someone around trying to keep them on the hook as long as you can.

On the other hand I just had another problem with a vendor. E-mailed the Pres of the Company and got immediate feedback IE: Phone call from the VP. He asked some questions and told me that it would never happen and that person would be not dealing with any clients any more (Demoted and on Probation) I guess a $10K per qtr client is of some value in some company's.

Pardon the hate, but BDS is a serious no go in my book. Most of their gear consists of poor copies of John Willis designed gear. I'm not going to go on about gear maker politics, but their poor quality shows, in my opinion.
I have seen BDS gear with stitches that are not locked, not tacked at stress points, and single stitched in vital areas. Maybe it is old BDS gear or maybe I saw some lemons, but combining that with seeing experiences like this, and their history with OSOE Gear, has turned me off to them.
