Ah, nothing says Ramadan like getting together with the boys and going out beating up women for not wearing head scarfs.

"........A woman in her mid-30s said she was punched in the face by a man in Islamic dress after refusing to put on a head scarf he had given her.

The actions follow a radical order earlier this week from Chechnya's spiritual leader to shut all cafes during the month of Ramadan, as well as paintball attacks on bare-headed women in June.

One of the assailants, who described himself as an " activist," told Reuters: "We are trying to warn women of their possible sins before God."............."

It occurs to me that Speaker Pelosi does not wear a head scarf - and during the Holy Days of Ramadan! Will no righteous follower of the Religion of Peace provide her with something to correct her sin before God?

IMHO,

These sick bastard need to find a hobby, like, maybe, skeet shooting or something? They have way to much time on their hands, and if they ever tried to bring that ideology in to my AO, a couple of hard bitch slaps, and a knee to their groin would welcome them!

Pete...I have been reading articles such as that one for years. The behavior does not surprise me, the lack of defense, from the world, for these women DOES! I am with Holly on my reaction to that sort of treatment if somebody attacked me for not wearing a headscarf...though I doubt my "welcome" to them would be quite as polite as Holly's!

In a dose of seriousness, I constantly read about and hear about the fact that the koran does not demand that a woman wear a hajib or burqa or headscarf of any sort. This is more of the fundamentalist freakshow!
