thanks NDD. i'm sticking to designing, not manufacturing. maxpedition is made in sweatshops in taiwan, not thailand. just kidding 'bout the sweatshops

Para, you might want to ask if they provide samples or scraps (depending on how much you need). i ran into a similar problem when i was trying to find duraflex quik-attach buckles. i searched everywhere but no one sold them in small (dozen) quantities. i called the manufacturer and they only sold to distributors. distributors only sold in large quantities. but one of the distributors asked me how many i needed, and told me 'oh, i'll just send them to you as samples', and i got everything i needed at no cost.
another avenue to try is to call propper or terry manufacturing and ask if they'd sell you a small quantity of the 3-colour desert material they use to manufacture BDUs (both have 100% cotton ripstop).
