Money and clicks and recognition will make folks say and do some pretty outlandish shit. Everyone here not only KNOWS an asshole like this - the chances are almost mathematically impossible that ever single former action guy on this board had an asshole like this on your ODA.

Oddly - every time we hear about grand acts of douchebaggery - people act surprised...

Why?
'SOF' guys are no different from anyone else. I've deployed with guys on my team - my comnpany - my battalion - my group - that were abasolute shit fists - but folks loved them because they were colorful and entertaining.

They weren't they were turds - but people were distracted by their 'turdery' because SOMEBODY needed to carry the extra ammo - somebody needed run the gun in the turret...
...plus, when shit gets all hostile and violent, every trigger figner counts.

Lets ALL stop pretending that every service member is a hero - lets stop pretending that SOF guys should be worshipped becuase they "earned it"

None of us "earned" the right to be a shithead. None of us "earned" the right to committ serial shenangians without getting called out for it. Just because somebody has a Ranger Tab, or SF Tab, or Trident, or any other type of badge or credential DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE BEYOND REPROACH

The worst security leak in the history of the USA came from an asshole whose job was literally hunting down spies - so why should I believe that just because someone served in any type of military capacity is immune to being full of shit at best - down right dishonorable at worst?


"MY" basecamp was in a more dangerous place than "YOUR" basecamp
"MY" ambush was a bigger gunfight than "YOUR" ambush
"MY" winter abroad was colder than "YOUR" winter abroad
