Again, we’ll see how accurate locally sourced information is.

-The family has been confirmed to be conservative.
-Confirmed he was raised Mormon.
-Not registered as either Republican or Democrat
(this was admitted to be speculative from my source)
-The father is confirmed not to be law enforcement.
-The law enforcement person turned out to be a friend/minister, not necessarily the neighbor.
-Transitioning boyfriend confirmed.
-No word on the gun, but the specific information I received was that the rifle was given to him by his grandfather when he was still a minor.
(Though this may be in reference to a different gun).
-No confirmation concerning his behavior post-arrest.
I am curious as to why no information concerning the gun’s origin has been released and why it took an investigative journalist to break the story about the boyfriend.
During the immediate aftermath, many internet sleuths discovered all sorts of posts demonstrating possible prior knowledge of the attack.
Much of this was associated with the trans community.
Supposedly, the boyfriend tipped about the rifle and has been singing.
How deep does this rabbit hole go?
FWIW, there was a high profile sniper incident in the area when he would’ve been 7 years old (murder of Kane county deputy Brian Harris).
Hard to say how a child processes that stuff.
